Along with a slightly new look, the Pixel 8 features better cameras, faster software, and a gorgeous display. The unlocked Pixel 8 clocks in at a reasonable $699 for the standard 128GB model. A 256GB model is also available for $759. Regardless of which you pick, you’ll get to choose from three unique colors (hazel, obsidian, rose). Both models also feature 24-hour battery life, 8GB RAM, a 6.2-inch display with support for up to 120Hz, a 10.5MP front camera, and the Google Tensor G3 chip for snappy performance.
Preorders are open at both Amazon and Best Buy, though the latter is offering free Google Pixel Buds Pro when preordering the Pixel 8. You can also save up to $800 with qualifying trades. The Pixel Buds Pro cost $200, so this is quite the freebie.
If you don’t mind being locked into Verizon coverage, you can pay for your phone monthly rather than dishing out the full price.

Step up to the unlocked Pixel 8 Pro, and you’ll get a bunch of premium features. This includes a larger 6.7-inch display, upgraded camera suite (including a 48MP ultrawide and 48MP telephoto), and 12GB RAM. Its cameras also offer more in-depth features, giving you additional ways to capture the perfect shot. Beyond that, much is shared between the two devices—including the fast Tensor G3 chip.
Preorders are open at both Amazon and Best Buy, but the latter is offering a free Google Pixel Watch 2 when reserving the Pixel 8 Pro. The Pixel Watch 2 costs $400, so once again, this is a fantastic preorder order.
Like the standard Pixel 8, you can opt for Verizon coverage and a monthly payment plan. The unlocked edition will work on any major network.
