The new Intel Core 14th Generation processors arrive on October 18, offering a big leap in power over their predecessors. Intel notes that these CPUs are all great for gaming. Prices run the gamut from just $304 for the Core i5-14600KF to $599 for the Core i9-14900K.

If you want the most robust experience possible, then you’ll want to opt for the aforementioned Core i9-14900K. This is the top-of-the-line product, and one that Intel calls the “world’s fastest desktop processor with 6GHz speeds right out of the box.” That’s an impressive stat, though its $599 price point is nothing to scoff at. But if money isn’t an issue and you want a CPU with 24 cores (including six performance cores), you’ll want to consider it.

You can get a high-end, though much cheaper, CPU by opting for the Core i7-14700K for $419, which still offers 20 cores (8 P-cores + 12 E-cores) and gets you up to 5.6GHz. The cheapest member of the family, the Core i5-14600KF, isn’t nearly as powerful as its siblings. However, it still hits 5.3GHz and boasts 14 cores (6 P-cores and 8 E-cores), making it a solid option for frugal shoppers.
