Bat-mania is back in action a month from now, and if you’re looking forward to seeing Michael Keaton go wild in The Flash, then you’re probably going to be very excited for the latest Lego set that’s on the way. Based on 1992’s Batman Returns and the Batcave lair seen in Keaton’s previous turn as the Caped Crusader, the Lego Batcave Shadowbox is both a toy and a display piece once it’s fully constructed.
Inside the box you’ll find 3,981 blocks, as well as minifigures of Batman, Christopher Walken’s Max Schreck, the Penguin, Catwoman, Bruce Wayne, and Alfred Pennyworth. The Batcave that you build from this set has authentic details, including movable items that can be controlled from the rear, and includes a command chair, computer screens, and even a Batsuit vault. The bat-cherry on top of all this is a buildable Batmobile that has its own interactive elements.
Once the playset is complete, it can be displayed as a diorama in your home or workplace. Lego says that it’ll measure 11 inches in height, 20 inches in width, and 5.5 inches in depth, so it can easily be shown off on a desk or a bookshelf. This will be a pricey Lego set, and the Lego website has it listed for $400 ahead of its June 8 launch.
